Morag Pavich: Head of Communications

Morag Pavich joined the Carnegie UK Trust as Head of communications in December 2007.

She is responsible for external and internal relations covering media, events, publications, website and internal communications.

Morag has over 15 years experience in PR and Communications in the US and UK.   Before joining the Trust, she was an independent consultant helping corporate, government and non-profit clients to create effective communication strategies. Prior to that, Morag was Senior Manager, Community Affairs with Barclays Plc. At Barclays, she managed major charity partners and developed a broad internal and external community affairs communications strategy.  Morag also managed website content, electronic newsletters and crafted public messages on CSR for company-wide use.

She has worked as a Director, Media Relations with Hobsbawm Macaulay Communications (HMC) where she initiated and managed communications programs for clients who included The Runnymede Trust, BBC, Commission for Racial Equality, Demos, Vanity Fair and the Scottish Labour Party. She started her career reporting for BBC Radio Scotland before deciding that moving to San Francisco and working in Public Relations would be more glamorous.  She retains no illusion on PR being glamorous but continues a love affair with California.

Morag has an MA in Politics and English Literature from Glasgow University.
