The Rural Development Community of Practice (known as FierySpirits) brings together activists and professionals who have stories to tell and experiences to exchange about building vibrant, resilient communities.

In 2013, Carnegie UK Trust was pleased to announce that the Plunkett Foundation would became the new host of Fieryspirits.com  This was due to Plunkett's interest in and commitment to community-led rural development across the UK and Ireland, it's established track record in building and supporting rural networks and its clear values aligned with the asset-based approach at the heart of the work. 

The Plunkett Foundation has worked with Carnegie and the CoP steering group to put together a vision for the future development of the CoP. Taking a 'network of networks' approach, the vision details key actions for 2013 to guarantee the five year legacy made by Carnegie UK Trust in setting FierySpirits Community of Practice.
