LOTS DONE IN 2011, LOTS TO DO IN 2012

In May 2011, the Carnegie UK Trust Round Table on Measuring Economic Progress in Scotland published its ground-breaking report, 'More Than GDP: Measuring What Matters.

Since then, the Trust has been working hard to lead public debate about how society can more accurately measure prosperity and wellbeing. In January 2012, the Trust has produced a short summary of its ‘More Than GDP’ work over the last 7 months, and its ambitious plans for the year ahead.

In the new year, the Trust will be pursuing initiatives that try to embed and enhance ‘More Than GDP’ thinking with the media, public policymakers, and citizens. This reflects the overall focus for our Enterprise & Society work in 2012 - on the specific economic experiences and engagement of citizens.
