Measuring What Matters: Lead the Debate

Since the publication of 'More Than GDP: Measuring What Matters' in May 2011, the report has sparked dozens of debates across Scotland and the UK about the importance of measuring social wellbeing.

In December 2011, Scottish Finance Secretary John Swinney announced reforms to the national performance framework, Scotland Performs. In doing so, Mr Swinney recognised the "growing interest in wellbeing and in particular the report of the Carnegie Trust Round Table."

To measure what matters, we have first to decide what matters as a society - and that demands public debate.

So, if you would like to lead a discussion in your community, workplace or voluntary organisation on this subject, the Trust would like to help by providing presentation resources.

To the right, you will find links to a slide presentation, speaker notes and resources pack to help you facilitate a discussion. These are designed to be simple to deliver, understand, and engage with.
