The Scottish Parliament hosted the Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy ceremony on 4 October 2005. Streaming video footage of the event is available via the Scottish Parliament film archive.
The event honoured international philanthropists and it was the first time the ceremony has been held outside the United States. The ceremony was opened by the Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament, George Reid.
