Civil Society: Enabling Dissent - video blogs and podcast

A live podcast and video blogs from the event on "Enabling Dissent" held by The Carnegie UK Trust Inquiry into the Future of Civil Society in the UK and Ireland and openDemocracy is now available.

Lenka Setkova (Director, Democracy and Civil Society Programme, Carnegie UK Trust) opened the event.  The event was chaired by Tony Curzon Price (Editor-in-Chief of openDemocracy). 

Panelists included:

  • Malcolm Carroll (Campaigner and Baptist Minister)
  • Sunny Hundal (Editor of Liberal Conspiracy, journalist, commentator, blogger and activist)
  • Fran Bennett (Senior research fellow in the Department of Social Policy and Social Work, University of Oxford)
  • Kumi Naidoo (Visiting Fellow at the Carnegie UK Trust, Honorary President of CIVICUS: World Alliance for Citizen Participation and Co-Chair of the Global Call to Action against Poverty campaign)
