The Trustees are now seeking an exceptional individual with high analytical, creative and communicative skills to work with them to manage the future development of the Trust.

The Chief Executive will be an established leader with the ability to analyse and distil broad policy issues, and bring forward and manage specific innovative project proposals. He or she will oversee substantial programmes of practical research and engagement with a wide range of partner organisations.

Carnegie UK Trust has been awarded money from the Empowerment Fund to continue vital support of the Community Land Trust National Demonstration Project.

Carnegie is one of twenty-one projects that will receive part of a £9.25m Empowerment Fund to deliver on the key themes of the Communities in Control White paper and help to give a real voice to people in their communities.

The ESRC Research Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy is an exciting new initiative jointly funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the Scottish Government, the Office of the Third Sector, and the Carnegie UK Trust, and is itself an innovative partnership between the University of Edinburgh Business School and Cass Business School.

Power Moves tells the story of four recent policy decisions to examine the question of who has power in public decision making.  The report suggests that the "powerless" can have more power than they tend to assume. 

The event is targeted at all those who are invovled in, or who want to have more influence in decision-making processes, including campaigners, community organisers and policy-makers.
