Scottish Launch of ESRC Research Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy - 13th February

The ESRC Research Centre for Charitable Giving and Philanthropy is an exciting new initiative jointly funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the Scottish Government, the Office of the Third Sector, and the Carnegie UK Trust, and is itself an innovative partnership between the University of Edinburgh Business School and Cass Business School.  

The launch, which is being held in Edinburgh, includes the following speakers: Nicholas Deakin (Chair of the Research Centre), Tracey Slaven (Director of the Scottish Government’s Third Sector Division), Cathy Pharoah and Jenny Harrow (Cass Business School and Co-Directors of the Research Centre) and Jane Ryder (Chief Executive, Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator).  Lenka Setkova, Director of the Carnegie UK Trust’s Democracy and Civil Society programme will chair the session “Philanthropy or charity?”
