Douglas White, Head of Advocacy
Douglas joined the Trust in 2011 as a senior policy officer and has a decade of experience in policy and research.
Over the past three years Douglas has led the Trust's work across a range of issues, including digital access and inclusion, news media, global regulation and quality of public space. Previously he held senior positions at Consumer Focus Scotland and Blake Stevenson Ltd. He is a member of various expert groups and panels, working with organisations including the Cabinet Office, the BBC and the Scottish Government, His work has led directly to positive change in many policy areas.
Douglas has an MA (Hons) in Politics from the University of Edinburgh. He is a graduate of the ACEVO Emerging Leaders Programme, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a ProjectScotland mentor. He lives in Edinburgh with his wife and in his spare time he can be found playing a wide range of different sports.
