Before joining the Carnegie UK Trust in 2011, Georgina worked as an Administrator for Bethany Christian Trust, a Scottish homelessness charity. Georgina has been involved in charities on a voluntary basis in several contexts, including children's work in socially deprived areas of Edinburgh and short-term trips to Guatemala and Bolivia. Her interest in Latin America continues and she is currently part of the Latinlink Scottish Action Group.

Georgina studied Divinity (MA) at Edinburgh University. While at university, she wrote for the student newspaper. She continues to have an interest in writing and particularly enjoys the communications-related tasks in her current role, as well as other administrative duties. Georgina is part of a church in Edinburgh and is involved with the children's work there. 

Some of Georgina's favourite pastimes are cooking and spending time outdoors exploring Scotland.
