Jim Metcalfe, Practice & Development Manager
Jim joined Carnegie UK in 2011 as a Senior Policy Officer, after ten years’ experience in research, communications and project management.
In 2012, he was appointed as Practice & Development Manager. Jim's work focuses on finding practical innovations drawn from the Trust's policy research, and developing partnerships with external organisations and agencies.
Previously Jim worked as a research assistant to MPs Gordon Brown and John Healey, as well as in posts in the voluntary sector and corporate public affairs. He read history at Lincoln College, Oxford and was an executive member of the Oxford University Student Union. He is a fellow of the RSA.
Jim is also leading two policy projects in 2012 under the Enterprise & Society theme: 'Enterprising Minds' and 'Global Rules: Local Rulers'.
He lives in Fife with his wife and daughter.
