Carnegie Worldwide

Carnegie UK Trust is one of over twenty Carnegie foundations and institutes worldwide.

These foundations reflect Andrew Carnegie’s commitment to democracy, international peace, education and the arts, the natural sciences and social development.

The Carnegie TrusteesSenior representatives from the foundations meet every two years and a number collaborate on an ongoing basis around issues of common interest.

For further information on the work of the foundations internationally, please see their respective websites. (You can access contact details for all the Trusts using the links in the top right hand corner).

Recipients to date include Bill Gates, George Soros, Lord David Sainsbury, the Aga Khan and Sir Tom Farmer. The 2005 ceremony was hosted by the UK based foundations, in Edinburgh on 4/5 October 2005.
