The Brief

The Carnegie UK Trust is interested in the co-creation of evidence. Working together across research partnerships between universities, the third sector, business and the public sector – what is sometimes referred to as ‘the quadruple helix’ – generates evidence that is both more relevant to social policy and more useful to practitioners.

We have been working with colleagues at the University of Newcastle to identify some of the key considerations for effective co-creation, and are developing a set of tools to encourage research partnerships. These include a booklet that outlines four key principles of co-creation, an infographic, a set of case studies, and a short film that features successful examples of co-creative working.
