Author: Carnegie UK Trust

Year: 2014

This the Trust’s response to the Scottish Parliament’s Local Government and Regeneration Committee’s call for evidence in their Inquiry into the Flexibility and Autonomy of Local Government.

We believe that the nature of the relationship between government and citizens and communities is changing and that new opportunities are emerging to improve public engagement and interaction with government. Our response outlines key ways in which public engagement with local government can be improved.
