In 2014, the Trust supported the Centre for Local Economic Strategies to produce a discussion paper on recent approaches to local and economic development. 

The paper promotes the notion of a ‘double dividend’ built on both economic and social success. A dividend which focuses on developing social outcomes as an intrinsic and fundamental part of achieving local prosperity.
